Dreams in Film

Films are probably the closest medium we have to experiencing the inexplicable quality of the dream in our waking lives. Rich in symbol, metaphor, movement and mystery, films, like dreams, enable us to participate in another reality, and, through that participation, to be transformed. The films listed here all contain, depict, explore or revolve around dreams or dream imagery. For more Dream Film Connections see the
International Association for the Study of Dreams: Dream Videophile and the Internet Movie Database, a comprehensive searchable database of films, actors, directors, producers and much more.

Do you know the name of a movie (probably not that old) about a woman who cannot distinguish between her real world and the world she lives in when she falls asleep. This is an excellent film that I stumbled upon one night on showtime. She no longer knows which is real. In one life she has a lover and is very successful. In the other she has two daughters. In both she has psychiatrists who are trying to help her. One is telling her that only she can figure it out the other is telling her that his world is the real one. In the end she figures it out and figures out what to do.

If you know the name of this movie please send to me in the above email. Thanks
