Looking for Life-Changing Dreams I am an author who is currently researching and gathering information for a future book tentatively titled: "Spoken in Dreams: Spiritual Leaders and Famous People Share Divine Dreams That Changed Their Lives." I am writing to ask if you have ever had a powerful, nocturnal dream that made you take new action in waking life? One that had the power to transform your waking life into a greater life? One that offered spiritual knowledge, wisdom or guidance beyond physical reality? One that you knew was not "of yourself" but from God or Spirit? I am looking for personal dreams that show transformational and spiritual meaningfulness. These are dreams in which you have never felt the same after the dream. Upon awakening, you knew it was more than a psychological or regular dream. In fact, it was one in which you had a spiritual experience during a sleeping state and dramatically changed your life because of the dream. Some examples include: · Spiritual awakening or spiritual challenges · Physical and emotional healing · Preparation for a life change · A new way to believe in God beyond the self · New outlook of the soul, death, heaven, afterlife or other spiritual realms of being · Feelings of empowerment, creativity confidence, strength or assertiveness · Knowing that someone who made his or her transition is Ok (or making peace with the relationship) · Seeing or understanding one's own future · Transcending the boundaries or limitations of the past (childhood, resentments, religion, etc.) or reconnecting with it in a more meaningful way · A different perspective about what is really important in one's life · Spiritual oneness, intense bliss or wisdom, or any metaphysical revelations The mission of this book is twofold: (1) to inspire the reader by sharing how spiritual leaders and famous people have transformed their lives due to life-changing dreams; and (2) to help the reader recognize, explore and awaken to his or her own life-changing, spiritual dream. I am writing to ask if you would be willing to contribute one of your transformational dreams for my upcoming book, "Spoken in Dreams." Because revelatory Biblical dreams will be interspersed throughout the text, you are also cordially welcome to provide any comparison or inspiration with a Biblical dream and your dream. How might they be similar? How did they both inspire you? Any Biblical references from your perspective will be greatly appreciated and honored. Your dream, however, must be unpublished in any other source. Moreover, you are invited to provide suggestions on what you would like to see included in this book. You can contact me through any of the options listed below. I look forward to hearing about a dream that has been special to you. After I receive your life-changing dream, I will contact you for permission to use it and/or to speak with you about it. Please contact: Diane J. Moore American Society of Journalists and Authors djmoorephx@aol.com

Life Changing Dreams Do you know of someone who had a dream that completely altered their life? Like a doctor who had a dream that caused him to chuck his profession and become a farmer. Or a stockbroker who became a priest or something to that effect? Or someone who left his or her family? Let me know. I'm in contact with someone who is filming a TV show on dreams and wants to use this kind of story. Stephen H. Kapit, shaman@dreamtime.net

Dreams of Light. Gillian Holloway has been collecting dreams involving bright light for about a year now -- looking at their ommon characteristics, how the dreamers view them, and any changes that may be noticed following the dream. There are some very intriguing characteristics, in some cases almost reminiscent of the NDE reports of being suffused with light -- and receiving a charge from the light. If you've had dreams of light, and would like toshare them with Gillian, you can post the dreams at her website, www.lifetreks.com/~dreams

Lucid Dreamers Wanted to Participate in Scientific Research What is happening in your brain when you realize you are dreaming? Dr. LaBerge is currently seeking volunteers to help answer this question in research at Stanford University. To qualify you should live in or visit the San Francisco bay area and be fairly confident that you could have a lucid dream in the laboratory. Call or email for details (+1-650-321-9969 or research@lucidity.com).

Lucid Dream Study on Fears The purpose of the study will be to find out whether a group of experimental subjects could show a significant reduction in the impact a feared object has on them. Experimental subjects should have at least some experience with lucid dreaming and one fear they want to eliminate, while control group subjects would be good normal-dream recallers. The long-range purpose of the study is to contribute to the fear literature by evaluating the effectiveness lucid dreaming can have on the fearful situation in reducing fears. If fears could be emphatically eliminated, using self-learned, self-controlled techniques such as lucid dreaming, time could be freed up and used to address other personal issues. This study will address the following specific research questions: 1. Can individuals who have anxiety provoking fears be taught to consciously use their dreams therapeutically? 2. Can lucid dreams (LD's) be harnessed to eliminate specific fear? If you are interested in participating in this study, please contact RWMyst@aol.com.

Applications of Lucid Dreaming Wanted What do you value about lucid dreams? Why do you care about having lucid dreams? There are a wide range of answers given to this question including inner adventure, fantasy fulfillment, creativity, rehearsal for living, overcoming nightmares, personal development, and spiritual practice. We would like to hear what you value about lucid dreaming, what you have done with the lucid dreams you have had, and what you would do with them if you could have them every night. In preparation for upcoming experiments, we are especially seeking examples in several areas: creative problem solving, rehearsal/ dream practice (e.g., sports, dance, martial arts, public speaking, etc.), and experiences of deep meaning or transcendence. Please email your accounts to whyld@lucidity.com.

Male Bereavement Dream Series Men who have suffered a tragic loss by death of a child, spouse, or lover and were recording their dreams at the time, are being solicited for a publication in progress on bereavement dreams, transcendence and the healing process. The recorded dream period should be 6 months or longer following a death that occurred at least two years ago. Research is being conducted by Geri Grubbs, Ph.D., Jungian analyst. She would like to work closely with the participants, which will involve gathering the dreams together, copying or recording them with associations, and some telephone discussions. If you think you may be interested in participating, please contact Geri Grubbs by telephone at (408) 867-9019, or through e-mail at gegrubbs@compuserve.com.

Dreams Concerning Multiple Levels of Applicability Wanted The ASD Statement of Ethics states that "Every dream may have multiple meanings", and acknowledges "these multiple layers of significance". I am very interested in documenting specific instances where a dream metaphor seemed to apply directly to a real life existing situation and also seemed to apply to a spiritual or philosophical issue. Email John Herbert at jherbert@IntNet.net.

Mysterious Words I would like to gather information from dreamers on unknown words. My method of dream recollection requires me to keep a pen and paper beside my bed. On occasion I have awaken in the middle of the night and began to write. When I awake in the morning I find a paragraph or sentence that I do not recall. I read it over in hopes that it will trigger a dream memory but it does not. In these writings I have found words that sound like words, however I have searched many language dictionaries to not find them anywhere. Here are a few examples Senjula , balice, hese, cawwinaw, I would love to hear if anyone out there has had similar occurrences please email your mysterious dream words to jmanson@escape.ca If you know of any meanings for these words I would also love to hear from you. I have on occasion written full paragraphs during these times, I would also like to hear if you have had this happen.
